TOGE is registered as a non-profit religious institution, but this is not your grandfather’s religion. There is no god to worship and no afterlife to wait for — we find our sacredness in the present moment and religious duty through our actions in it. You are free to keep your faith or bring none at all. We are not exclusionary. We welcome all atheists and spiritual people alike. Equality is for everybody, and an egalitarian community only grows stronger the more of us there are.

We don’t fight the Big Lie with hashtags alone. We fight it everyday one relationship at a time, with spoken words — our collective will made manifest.
Every ordained member who solemnifies a marriage with the declaration, “You are my equal, and I am yours,” before the vows lays one more stone in a new foundation, built from the ground up, where natural-born inferiority finds no foothold ever again. We redefine what is holy and imperative, and we commit ourselves to the sacred task of rebuilding a world where equality is the lived experience of all. That is what your egalitarian movement membership can do here: honorable words, direct action, real change.
What It Means to Join an Equality Organization
Membership in our equality movement does not require you to have all the answers. It simply requires a willingness to learn, engage, and contribute. Members are encouraged to share ideas; art and writing; participate in discussions; support community initiatives; and help build a culture rooted in equality for all.
